About — Isabella Madrid

Isabella Madrid (b. 1999 Pereira, Colombia) is an artist and photographer based in Colombia.
Isabella received her Bachelor in Visual Arts at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia and her master’s degree with honors in Photography at ECAL, Switzerland. Isabella primarily works through self portraits and with photography both digital and analog, employing as well different material processes such as assemblage and collage in order to interplay the virtual and the physical, the feminine and political, pop culture and individuality, the corporal and the spiritual, exploring different representations and subversions of her own identity.
